Originality beware, Astral Doors is here. Seeing as this is their second album it should be named The Second In Line. There's no denying it so I'm just gonna say it right off. This is total, complete, and utterly shameless Dio worship. The sound is 100% robbed or 'payed tribute to' and there is not an original thought on the entire CD. With that said... it's a pretty decent impersonation. If you can get around the fact this is a complete clone band and you like Dio then you'll probably dig this. I do have to admit it's better than Dio's last. The sound here is much more reminiscent of the classic sound Dio fans wish he was still doing. Really though... if I want to hear old Dio... I'll listen to Holy Diver.
Highlights: Rainbow In The Dark... oh... wrong cd. Sorry. Nothing particularly stands out to me here. It's all pretty decent, but all been done.
