Iommi's last solo album was pretty hit and miss I have to say. The main complaint though was that the vocal talent enlisted for some of the songs was lacking. So now that he has a steady vocalist of Glenn Huges it's a can't miss right?
WRONG. A small part of me fucking died listening to this disc. Members of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple come together and the result is this? The sound on this album is most comparable to Soundgarden/Audioslave as Huges does his best Cornell impression and the guitar follows suit... Thick, unimaginative, and BORING. Hearing two rock and metal gods putting out a comercialized piece of Audioslave leftovers like this is fucking depressing and not to mention pathetic. There's really not much else to say as this is pretty much a 100% duplication of what a Grunge band has already done. Save yourself some agony and don't buy this.
