Forever Endeavour marks another young power band's sophmore release. This one was anticipated by me but probably not a great deal of others since the first one didn't get a whole lot of press. I'd wager on the fact most people reading this right now are going 'who the fuck is Highland Glory?'. Well I'm about to tell you.

Though Highland Glory is a new act, all of the band sans the vocalist were a part of another band, Phoniex Rizing, which came out in the late 90s. The namesake of the band is an homage to the great Running Wild which in my eyes earns them instant points. Sound-wise there isn't really a lot in common with that band but at least they know who rules and a bonus track on their first effort was a Running Wild cover song.

The style of Highland Glory is most comparable to Lost Horizon and Thunderstone. Power metal with a lot of energy and the vocal style resembles the singers of both those bands. Fans of Heiman & LH should find plenty to be happy about in this band. Actually a couple members of Lost Horizon guested on the band's debut. Most of the riffing is quick and slashing with a bit of a gallop often present and the way the vocalist projects makes the sound very powerful indeed. All the tracks here are memorable and this really blows away the first release which was in itself solid. Most of all Forever Endeavour just has a lot of intensity to it. Every song here is a keeper and I don't know how any fan of this sort of power metal could not like this. Completely headbangable and energetic. Check this release out and thank me later.

Highlights: Edge Of Time, Surreality, Forever Endeavor, Break The Silence... pretty much everything
