With a highly praised demo of the same name Communic quickly got signed to Nuclear Blast and for a debut this album has really had a fair amount of buzz surrounding it. Well, anyone who liked the demo should not be disappointed in what they find here.
The first thing that should strike anyone listening to this release is the obvious Nevermore similarities. The vocalist bears no small resemblance to Warrel and the music's moody yet often heavy nature is also similar. In this sense the music is nothing new. Why the high praise then? Because this is one band who knows how to write a song. The average length of a track on this release is just under 7 1/2 minutes and I swear there is not a dull moment. Beautiful atmospheres, infectious choruses, mood changes, and just sheer passion insure this album's success. This is a band to watch in the future.
